“Starlit”
Morticia (Mort) is a Scottish author who has been writing since her high school years. Her work focuses on bringing LGBTQ+ and monster romance to the forefront of popular fiction. She developed a passion for writing from a young age and has been honing her craft ever since, taking inspiration from lesser-known authors like Isaac Marion, Roanna Sylver and R. Lee Smith.
Mort believes that love is a powerful force that can bring together even the most unlikely of characters, regardless of their background, gender, or species. Her characters are often flawed and complex, and although they might face some tough situations, she puts a lot of emphasis on happily ever afters. After all, reading romance is an escape, and she wants her readers to feel good when they read the stories she’s created.
When Mort’s not writing, you can find her playing tabletop games with friends, watching horror movies, or enjoying a good book. Mort’s interests outside of writing help to inspire her work and give her a fresh perspective on the world around her. Her love for tabletop gaming has been a major influence on her work. As a huge fan of Dungeons & Dragons, Mort often incorporate elements from these games into her work.
